Discount and coupon codes are very basic currently, and do not include any marketing thought process. Discount and coupon codes need to be presented as a marketing toolkit that allows marketing managers to create these promotions while keeping a view of the marketing budgets going towards these initiatives.

- Promo codes will be renamed as Discounts.
- Marketing users will be able to assign budgets to discount codes and measure the utilisation against these budgets.
- Marketing users will be able to edit discount code descriptions, change the validity and deactivate/reactivate discount codes.
- Discount codes will be made applicable even if their budgets have been exceeded. This means that the applicability of discount codes will no longer be a function of value. In future, we may introduce a feature that lets users control whether a budget needs to be adhered to strictly.
- Per account limits on no. of times a discount code can be used will also be introduced.
